1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CVite ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. CVite is operated by Ahmed Abdat. These terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.
2. Description of Service
CVite is an AI-powered resume builder that helps users create professional resumes. The Service includes: • Resume creation with professional templates • AI-powered writing assistance using Google Gemini • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) optimization • PDF export functionality • Optional cloud synchronization • Job-specific resume tailoring The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
3. User Accounts
You may use CVite as a guest or create an account using Google or GitHub authentication. Guest Users: Can create resumes and download 1 PDF without registration. Registered Users: Get access to 5 PDF downloads, 20 AI credits, ATS analysis, and cloud sync. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
CVite offers the following plans: • Free Plan: Basic features at no cost • Pro Plan: $5.99/month or $47.88/year • Student Plan: $2.99/month or $23.88/year (requires verification) Payments are processed securely through Paddle, our payment provider. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Prices are in USD and may vary by region. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes as calculated by Paddle.
5. Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with CVite. Our refund policy is as follows: Monthly Subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. No refunds are provided for partial months, but you retain access until the end of your billing period. Yearly Subscriptions: Full refund available within 14 days of purchase if you're not satisfied. After 14 days, you may cancel but no refund will be issued; you'll retain access until the end of your subscription period. Student Plan: Same refund policy applies. Verification fees (if any) are non-refundable. To request a refund, contact us at ahmedabdat@gmail.com with your account email and reason for the refund request. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.
6. AI Features and Usage
CVite uses Google Gemini AI to provide writing assistance. By using AI features, you acknowledge that: • AI-generated content should be reviewed and edited by you • We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI suggestions • AI credits are allocated based on your plan and reset monthly for paid plans • We do not train AI models on your personal data • Text submitted to AI is processed by Google and subject to their terms
7. Intellectual Property
CVite and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Ahmed Abdat and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws. You retain full ownership of your resume content. By using CVite, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.
8. User Content and Data
Your resume data is stored locally on your device by default. If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored securely on our servers. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content in your resumes. Do not include false information, copyrighted content without permission, or illegal material.
9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems • Interfere with or disrupt the Service • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission • Resell or redistribute the Service • Use the Service to create fraudulent or misleading resumes • Abuse AI credits or circumvent usage limits
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. If you have cloud sync enabled, you may request your data before account deletion.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT: • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free • Your resume will result in job interviews or employment • AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate • The Service will meet your specific requirements Use of the Service is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CVITE AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
